And congrats by the way to both of you! Pipe smoking, just like shaving, is definitely an art, and a wonderful hobby. Just don't start smoking cigarettes, worst decision you can make!

For every gentleman that does something there is an opinion that goes along with it.

I have mine, they have theirs and you will have yours! That is one of the many joys of life!

right now i have enough pipes to alternate with differant tobacco`s.
so that`s what i am going to do. i have learned everything i know about smoking a pipe from my friends on the internet. so far its going well. in my businness i hire a lot of older gentleman and what i found out there pretty set on there ways weather it`s right or wrong. but that`s what i like about them. i enjoy listening to all sides and then decide for myself. i run and breed hunting and trial beagles and have learned so much from guys that been around beagling for ever but do not agree with everything they say or do. so i do take all advice and go with it. i quit smoking 35 years ago and can`t stand the smell of cigs but give me some pipe smoke and i am in heaven.

Boy, you guys are really tempting me to get my pipes out of storage! For me, it's kinda of a cool weather thing. I too suffered from PAD, and have more than I need I'm sure. Fortunately they were in a cupboard during the house fire and all of them survived. I had a nice supply of tobacco too that fortunately I had gone to the trouble of jarring and sealing up. I've bagged them all up and stuffed them out in the shop, but I think I know where they are.....
