Electronic Music Fans?
For those of us that are fans of electronic music, I was curious to hear opinions on what you think are the "essential" electronic albums. I know this is a hard question and it is hard to keep this to only a few. I think mine are, in no particular order:
Animal Collective -- MPP (not sure if this can be labeled "electronic")
Burial -- Burial & Untrue
Moderat -- Moderat
Telefon Tel Aviv -- Immolate Yourself
Four Tet -- There is Love in You
I'm also loving the new LCD Soundsystem and Fever Ray, but not sure where those rank yet.
I'd like to hear others opinions.

If you are talking what I think you are talking about, I would say either Daft Punk's Discovery or Alive 2007 album. They are great albums and Daft Punk gave a lot to the community. A Tiesto album couldn't hurt, but some may consider him overrated. I would go as far as saying a "best of" Eiffel 65 album would do you a justice as well. These are only a few, and these are only hit groups, but they have given a lot to the electronic genre community over the years.

I just recently started listening to NIN...i know, overrated, but I like that he does music for him and his fans, and thats that.
I would highly recommend The Faint. all of it is good, but Blank-Wave Arcade, and Danse Macabre are their more electronic stuff.
Lastly, The Residents. now, They're a whole different beast, but if you dig avant garde, noise, electronic, art rock, or just plain f**king weirdness, check them out. been active since the 60's. Commiecat, if you like Throbbing Gristle, you may like them.

Totally agree on the new LCD and Fever Ray (man, you HAVE to see Fever Ray if you get the chance, I caught them at Coachella this year and they were awesome!).
I've been digging Barretso lately (check out the song Midnight Walk), which is a bit of a fall back to the Ed Banger sound that was really huge a couple years ago. On that note, Sebastian, Kavinsky, Mr. Oizo, DJ Mehdi, etc. on the Ed Banger label are all great.
I really dig the minimalist electronic stuff like Apparat, Arovane and Alva Noto. Telefon Tel Aviv is awesome, and It sucks that I'll never get to see them live.
I like stuff like Tobbacco, The Rapture, Miike Snow, Danger, etc.
I think Massive Attack is essential, but they border on what electronic music is.
There's just too much.
