Thanked: 17A Beautiful Texas Guadalupe River Rainbow Trout
Well, the thrill of my young life, a Guadalupe River Rainbow Trout caught on 10/21/2010 using ultralight tackle. The fish weighed in at 4.5 pounds (my guide's certified scale) and measured about 24 inches! The lure was a #18 pale yellow egg pattern, the rod a six foot TFO ultralight for 2 - 6 pound test line, the line 6X (0.005 inch, 0.12 mm) Stroft GMT line rated at 4.0 pound test, the reel a vintage Orvis 50 A ultralight. The fish, a once in a lifetime beauty!!!
