    A day of fishing after work is what i love My first little Zander of the year messure 50cm and a cpl of perches. Drive back at sunset scenery, Much Relaxing

    yepp thay are closely related
    The Zander tends to get bigger though.

    We have Zander planted by the Game and Fish in a near by lake. A coworker caught one that was over 10# (I think it was around 13# but don't remember for sure). It's been one of the largest caught in the lake so far.

    Up here at this end of the province I grew up calling those pickerel and the Americans that come up fishing call them walleye. No matter what you call them pretty tasty so they say.
