Default Ruger New Vaquero, any owners?

I have my eye on these for along time, would love the stainless .45 long colt model. Going looking tomorrow actually. Just curious if there were any owners here?

I have a pair in .357. They are excellent revolvers. The reverse pawl design makes reloading a snap and they are very smooth in operation. One of the nice things that Ruger did as well was they have the safety lock on the gun, but it is only visible if you take off the grips (if you wan to use it you must punch a hole in the grip. Mine are blued, but I wouldn't rule out the stainless. Are you looking at the standard grip or one of the modified grips (birds head, bisley, etc)?

    awesome, what barrel size?
im thinking the standard stainless with black grip. Cant wait to get one in my hands tomorrow
That safety feature is nice, no more load a round skip a chamber and load the remaining

5.5". The transfer bar safety is a huge improvement (though if you are shooting a CAS match, it is still only 5 in the chamber allowed) in revolvers (every Ruger since the first blackhawks & single six's have them I believe). Ruger doesn't use a half **** notch on their hammers like colt either (I just though I would share in case you were used to colt or colt clones) and I prefer it as it makes loading easier IMHO.

I have a new vaquero 45lc 5.5 that is not blue but looks like oil stained. They call it case color I think. Any how I love it. But ammo is getting hard to find. So I went to this cowboy action shooting web site and bought 500 relodable wax bullets " the ones they use for quick draw compatitions" for like 20 bucks. "OHH WHAT FUN"

I hunt deer with the .44 magnum Pro Hunter. Ruger makes some nice handguns.

    Default New Vaquero Stainless

I visited my favorite gun shop yesterday and this d@mn thing jumped in my passenger seat and came home with me! 357mag. I look at it as a barber shop security system.

Wow, that is one beautiful six-shooter. I own/have owned numerous Rugers. One of the best IMO.
