    Default Tic-Tac-Toe Strategy

This is an awesome webcomic anyway, but today he has outdone himself. Truly remarkable.

Wow. That is a brilliant graphical representation of tic-tac-toe strategy.

As a side note: When I was in high school I used to train some of the chickens that played tic-tac-toe at the Paul Bunyan Amusement Center in Brainerd Minnesota.
Someone had apparently already worked out the game strategy. The chicken's part of it consisted of pulling a lever behind a shield (called the "thinkin' booth" IIRC) whenever a light came on. There was a dispenser that would drop a pellet of chicken feed when it pulled the lever. The actual game mechanics were of course done by a computer.

Computers are getting closer and closer to "solving" chess. They just recently figured out checkers. Go is another story...

I highly doubt they'll ever figure out Go save for a true AI... Way too many variables and potential strategies.
