Strength Of Dunhill Pipe Tobacco
Good Evening Fellow Pipe Smokers,
I'm sure you know by now that Dunhill pipe tobaccos are now available once again.
I bought 6 different blends from DeLuxe Navy Rolls to Nightcap. Every single one of them have knocked my on my butt. So I am imagining that the vitamin "N" content must be pretty high.
Has anybody else experienced this with Dunhill tobaccos?

I haven't tried the latest versions yet. I've smoked 965, Nightcap, London Mixture and Early Morning Pipe when Murray's made it years ago and later on when it was farmed out yet again. A Danish company made the last iteration I think but it is a different company now. I'll be trying some ASAP and the more N the better.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

In my experience, Dunhill tobaccos aren't stronger, nicotine-wise than others, but they're tobacco. Not flavorings, casings, or whatever. Peretti's 333 is a burley blend that's very strong, nicotine-wise, and Five Brothers is an H-Bomb by comparison in the vitamin N department.
If you're not used to English blends, the latakia and perique can get to you pretty fast. I'd suggest starting out with Early Morning Pipe and maybe 965 before moving on to Nightcap and Deluxe Navy Rolls.I strop my razor with my eyes closed.

I've tried only Navy Rolls and it is typical Dunhill, i think. Less candy and more real stuff. Not extremely strong, rather medium, imho.
Very good tobacco it is. I wouldn't smoke it as a first tobacco in the morning, but rather after dinner or evening.
I've heard that Nightcap and 965 are strong tobaccos, but i've never tried. Dunhill is one of those brands that are high quality.
If you want to try strong tobaccos, those with lot of nicotine N, try Petes Irish Flake. SG Bracken Flake is even stronger, imho. Every time i smoke it i feel my head blows off. Pure evil that is'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'

Thanks for everyone's responses. By far I am not a new pipe smoker. I have had pleanty of VAPERs, English blends, aromatics, and everything in between. This was just my first go around with Dunhill. I smoke Pete's Irish Flake pretty regularly, and that kicks like a mule. But I have found all of the Dunhills pretty strong - not Irish flake strong, but a little dizzying.
Might just be me.

Thanked: 1185965 and Night Cap are indeed quite stout. Nicotine wise I would only rate them on the high end of medium, they shouldn't make you puke or pass out or anything. By stout, I mean very stout, very thick, and very English. These two are both (to my taste) latakia boots to the head. Now that I think about it, Night Cap did tend to wire me pretty badly, and left my hands shaking too. I'd probably avoid consistently inhaling that one. If you're an English blend afficionado, then both of these are you. As for me, I don't mind strong tobaccos but I'm not a big fan of english blends Five Brothers rocks the house as does Cornell and Diehl Old Joe Krantz.
