Thanked: 5Beer Glassware
While I was visiting my new niece in Edmonton on the weekend, I found what I think is my favorite liquor store on the prairies - Sherbrooke Liquor. They have a great import/specialty beer selection.
On another note, I've been looking around to acquire some proper glassware to enjoy my favorite beers in. My old standby is a Guinness pint glass, but I figured I need some proper Belgian glassware for my favorites.
Conveniently, Sherbrooke Liquor has gift packs from some awesome breweries (Chimay, Westmalle, Affligem and more).
I ended up buying a Delirium Tremens gift pack (and a bunch of other beer), which came with 2 Delirium Tremens, 1 Delirium Nocturnum, 1 Delirium Christmas, and Delirium glass!
The glass also has an elephant etched into the inside bottom of the glass to help release carbonation.
Not the most economical way to start collecting glassware, but oh well.
Anyone else have some special beer glassware, or know of good places to get them? Belgian glassware is a little hard to find in regular stores haha...
I can feel another AD starting...

Delerium is one of my favorite beers, however it's not the best for a guy on a budget.

Very cool Delirium Glass! I purchased a few glasses on the Dogfish Head website. In fact, I have a dogfish glass that is similar in shape to your Delirium glass and it is my absolute favorite. I probably drink 95% of beer out of this glass.

Delirium Christmas!?! Going to my beer store right after work! I've never heard of such a thing. Very cool glass by the way, I have usually had Delirium or Chimay in a white wine glass.
Also, if those types are your thing, this is a must try: Duchesse De Bourgogne

I have a couple of these I received at a Sam Adams tasting a few years ago.

Thanked: 5That beer looks epic! The only beer I've had that sounds similar is Rodenbach Grand Cru - brewed with brettanomyces, which contributes to the sour taste. It is so different from others styles of beer; completely blew my mind when I first had it.
Also, Delirium Christmas can be labeled Delirium Noel; either way. Let me know what you think of it - it wasn't my first of the day so my memory of it is a little hazy.
I'll start searching for a bottle of this...
I've been using wine glasses as well, but I figure it is time to get some beer specific glassware.
I watched something on TV about that Samual Adams glass as well. Pretty neat!
I'll check out the Dogfish Head website too.

I have been collecting beer glasses for about five years now. I think it's really cool that each belgian beer has a corresponding glass that is designed specifically for its attributes. I've had great luck at thrift stores in my area for some reason. I got all my Leffe, Chimay, Grimbergen and the big Delerium glasses there. You can also find them at specialty beer and wine stores, but they tend to cost $5-10 there instead of $1 at the thrift store. Here is what I have so far, there is nothing like drinking a beer out of the glass that was designed specifically for it:
