    Default Fast truck

It seems Ford are suing Ferrari because they are worried that people buying a new Ford F-150 pickup may think they are actually getting a Ferrari F150 Formula One car.
Or maybe vice-versa, except of course, you can't actually purchase the Ferrari.

I am glad they are fighting it out in court, if not for the litigation I may have confused the two.

Ferrari has no rights to the term "F150" within the United States. It is a trademark of Ford Motor Company.

We have laws about these things...

Yes... one may confuse the two. Ford starts with F, Ferrari starts with F... and both are available in red. If I were to see the two side by side, I would be very much confused.
It's amazing how stupid people have become and how much court litigation and sueing dominate the life of people in the west. It is just silly...
Or, it may be an old grudge between Ford and Ferrari dating back to the 60's. Remember how Ford wanted to buy Ferrari and old man Enzo backed off from the deal in the last minute? The famous Ford GT40 was born out of spite. Maybe, with the new Ford GT these old "mafia style" grudges, have risen again. But what do I know? Maybe I watch too much Top Gear...

Francisco, you are probably right, the grudges and ill feelings continue.

Wait so you are telling me that the F150 that I just ordered at my local FORD dealership is in fact not the new Ferrari F150 formula 1 car. Oh man, my wife is gonna kill me, how am I gonna haul all of that lumber and building supplies for my house in a truck!

The 2011 Ferrari F1 car has been renamed the "F150th Italia". Problem solved, hopefully.

"On the subject of the name of the new Ferrari F1 car, the Maranello company wishes to point out that it has sent a letter of reply to Ford, underlining the fact that the F150 designation [used as the abbreviated version of the complete name, which is Ferrari F150th Italia] never has, nor ever will be used as the name of a commercially available product—indeed there will not be a production run of single-seaters."
