Here are a couple of options in Twin Falls for you to consider. One is a brew pub and the other is a beer bar. I recommend trying the brew pub first and ordering a sampler of the house brews. They will bring you a bunch of small glasses of a lot of different types of beer. Be sure to keep track of what is what. Once you have identified a style you like, then try the beer bar and order different brands of that style and learn about the nuances of different brands.
Have fun!

MatthewShropsire,
Quality American beers are a bit thin on the ground in the UK
One American Brewery that has really impressed me with its beers is 'Sierra Nevada'.
Their Pale is quite excellent
Have fun !
Best regards

Thanked: 1371PhatMan, if you like the Sierra Nevada, you should look for Summit EPA from Summit Brewery in St. Paul MN, or "Hazed and Infused" from the Boulder Brewing company in Boulder CO.
(Hazed and Infused is the best pale ale (they call it a "dry hopped ale") I've ever had the pleasure of drinking)Last edited by HNSB; 02-22-2011 at 08:25 AM.

Thanked: 1160I'm more of a Cider kinda guy these days but when I go for a brew, the thing I go by is clarity. If I can't see through the glass ,I like it.I'm not huge on real filtered beers or ales. And I like a little more malty rather than hoppy brew as well. "Waiter,I'll have a beer sandwich please"! .

No matter how many beer books or guides you read if you haven't ever felt a first kiss from a ice cold beer on a hot summer eve. Or various other finer moments in life.
You can't think much of any good beers until you've had your experiences with bad beer on some point of your journey. (Actually there is no bad beers, imho. There are only picky people not really thirsty).
Catch any brand and drink. If you like it then drink some more. If you don't then try another brand. Leave the books for later.'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'
