Thread: Lets tell some deer hunting story's from the past season

Hadn't got to hunt in 5 years due to work and wont get to go No more this season . Got it with My K98 8 MM Mauser open sights at 60 yards . I got this deer in Edmonson county KY . A 11 year old girl got my 12 point 15 minutes earlier . On the next farm . She is a buddy of mines daughter . I got in the stand at 6:30 and By 7:15 I was dragging him out . Put out one bag of corn and had a climbing stand I bought at a discount store for 35.00 But I still get to mount the big deer He just wont be on My wall . O well I'm glad she got it
And I alway,s grow a beard for deer season LOL

Congrats. I took a pretty good size doe at 150 yards with a 12 gauge Remington 870 (deer hunting with a rifle is illegal in IL) last November. It's not mounting material but she sure does taste good.

I love it to . I was 20 years old before I even relay considered dating . I was in the woods every Night . Women relay don't like to go on a date in the woods at Night LOL .

My story from last season is that there is no story from last season. On my first morning out I had a doe in my sights, but where I was on our land was in the bottom of a hole. Two ridges to climb back out, so any one that goes down there only brings something back out with handles. As I was following her, I was waiting for a buck to be behind her, but there never was. I never saw anything else that week. Oh well, had a great time anyways. Better luck next year. Congrats on that buck.
