Thanked: 198UPS tracking
now dont get me wrong, the ups tracking system is a wonderful thing, but when your waiting on a order of more irish flake, and it sitting at the depot that delivers to your house all weekend, you kinda want to shove the whole system down someones throat, knowing that its just out of reach.

We Americans are a little spoiled with things like saturday delivery dates and expedited shipping. I just got a package from Turkey; it took 3 weeks to get out of the country then another 5 at US customs. All to save 1 USD on Arko! Hey I'm dutch.

I still prefer them (or FedEx) over USPS.

I find when UPS gives a delivery date with rare exception that's the date you get it even though it may have arrived to the local depot days earlier. Usually Fedex will deliver when it arrives.

Here UPS usually gets delivered on time. We're an hour from the nearest fedex hub so they only bring down deliveries once every week or two depending on how many deliveries they have in the town.

One time I was expecting an important, time sensitive shipment and by coincedence the delivery date was Valentines Day. My husband and I had plans but I needed to stay home until the package arrived. I waited till 7pm for it and we missed our reservations. I was not happy so I called the UPS depot to see what happened. They said the delivery truck had tried to deliver it that afternoon but there was no one home to sign for it. I told the boss at the depot that I had been waiting on the porch all afternoon into the evening waiting for it and had not even seen a single UPS truck on our street. The next day right after dawn the UPS truck stopped on the side of the road and left the package there so I had to walk down to the road and get it. The driver didn't bother to get anything signed. He just took off as fast as he could. I guess I must have gotten him in trouble with his boss. LOL
