Default Perhaps It's Time to Reinstitue an Old Custom

No, I'm not talking about Prima Nocta (obscure Braveheart Reference). My old custom which enjoyed a revival only moments ago, was one that I had not enjoyed for quite some time. Back in my hay day, few things were better than a shower beer. This evening, I came home from work and got my PT on (2 mile run at fat old man pace) and worked up a good lather. I came home and decided to enjoy a cold Shiner Bock in a hot shower. Now there are the finer things in life and there are those things so fine that they're in a category all by themselves. I'm here to tell you that the shower beer is one such thing. If you've not tried it, give it a go, it's the dogs bollocks for sure.
The older I get, the better I was

Definitly nothing like the shower beer. Just yesterday had an almost frozen PBR in the shower.

Used to play pick up hockey with a group of guys in an arena that was tollerant to the odd box of beer finding it's way into the locker room. Was a great night of playing 1.5 hours or so of hockey then the lockeroom and a shower beer while reliving how great we were.

That sounds awesome! I have yet to have the shower beer but you can guarantee it is on my "To Do" list for this weekend.
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???

OGI, I seem to open each of your posts w/ great expectation.

I don't drink much beer these days (I'd weigh 600 instead of 500lbs), but I remember shower libation from younger days. Mine was 2 cubes and either 2 fingers of sour mash or single malt. It DID make a nice refresher of the shower.

The last time i put my goalie pads on i was 40, wow that was 15 years ago, but the shower beer tasted great after a game. We started renting the local rink and had rival neighborhood games in 1969, the cost of an hour of ice time in 1969 was 25.00,and we still had trouble coming up with enough money, what memories!!!!!!!!

I rarely drink when outside of the shower. When I come home from a long day there really is nothing like a piping hot shower and an ice cold beer. My preference is a pilsner usually PBR or miller light.
