Thanked: 1936PhD or not, it turned out looking nice without being blotchy. I understand your being pleased & you should be. We are considering building a new house and stained floors are one of the things we have talked about in the common area's...maybe thru the entire house. There is always throw rugs...

Thanked: 247Avoid staining areas that might be subject to moisture, or puddling, as the moisture will keep the stain changing colors, and just overall getting ugly with time. This is third party advice that killed my hope of getting to try it out on a remodel. Neigbors tried it in the basement, and hate it now.
But, yours looks really great. As long as you have a good swale, hence good drainage...Should be good. My 2 cents...Last edited by regularjoe; 11-06-2011 at 03:34 PM.
