Rauchbier
This is the label from a bottle of Schlenkerla Rauchbier.
for those of you that Don't speak German, "Rauchbier" means "smoked beer" and "Schlenkerla" is a word to describe someone who's gait is altered by alcohol not quite to the point of staggering drunk.
The beer's initial smoke aroma is that of the same wood used to smoke sausage and bacon. the taste is similar to a dark stout or porter. then combine the stout with the smoke and you have a great beer with a slight taste of bacon. I was a little shocked at first by the combo, but I could easily learn to love it.

Thanked: 39I once tried this beer when I visited the brewery at Bamberg. It is a great beer. Unique. Did you actually get a bottle of it here in the states? I've never seen it outside Germany before.

That is a good and very tasty beer. The smoke aroma is heavy but the overall taste is bit lighter than with Porters, imho.
It is available 'almost' everywhere here. For me it is the right choice for the cold winter evenings.'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'

There's a place here in town called Kahn's and they have all manner of imported beers. Indianapolis Liquor Store | 3 Location | Kahn's Fine Wines & Spirits I don't think they have any stores outside of indy, but you could see what stores like that in your area have it. or just try a liquor store.

Omg bacon and smoke flavored beer sound amazing. Possibly the perfect man food? I think so
No that pistol isn't the only thing under my kilt, but I can tell you both of them work just fine
