I remember that one Yorkie, the theme music was by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Watched FT as it aired during my visit to the UK way back then. Also drank enough Younger's N0.3 to refloat the Hood and nothing else - TV or Ale - pales in comparison.
Now... Netflix streams FT... but without Younger's N03 it's just not the same... I do try. I have some Marmite soldiers on the way and there's always Glenfiddich and I make a mean Yorkshire puddin'.
When I find frozen Haddock at my grocer I feel the need to dip it in batter along with some chipped taters after I've boiled and melted some dried peas into a mushy mess. I drain the fish and taters onto a newspaper so it will pick up the newsprint flavor and break out the malted vinig.. then I open a Guinness, and a Bass Ale... mix them half and half in a pint glass.
I open the newspaper to reveal the battered fish and deep fried potatoes (chips) then plunk down some mushy peas... spray it all with malted vinig and start an episode of Faulty Towers...
We have good days... and bad days... Those are the good days.
:D
:rofl2: I recently got a razor which came from Grace Brothers! I have been served!
I wonder if Mrs Slocomb used it to ... never mind. Forget I was here.
