...or kind of like the look in my eyes when someone starts talking about football. I'll have to admit, although I like watching our Auburn Tigers play, I'm probably one of the most clueless guys when it comes to following the nuances of the game.

I didn't mention that last Saturday we went to the music store to have some minor work done on my son's trombone. We left with a brand new flute for my 8 year old daughter. She starts lessons tomorrow. It's a dangerous thing letting me walk into a music store (or anyplace that might have a razor)
Hahahahaha - that is exactly how my older daughter ended up on cello.

And the thanks goes to bassman.

By the way, if you looked at the website, the drones are actually comprised of 3 octaves and 2 5ths that have been matched and balanced, which helps as you move around to different registers.

I guess I'm a little dense. When I downloaded the album, I discovered that it is comprised of 12 different tracts arranged in the order of the circle of 5ths. When I listened to the first tract, I was surprised that it only played 6 minutes of a single tone. It took me a bit to realize that each drone is playing 3 different octaves of the root all 5 of these pitches and two octaves of the 5th simultaneously. I guess I've never noticed that part of the complexity of the tone of a stringed instrument is the harmonics in addition to the fundamental tone And I call myself a musician... slinking away, tail between legs...
