Thread: The opposite of The Finer Things...

Evidently my Facebook acct has been hacked. I'm not sure what has been sent out, and who has been on the receiving end of it, but I have heard that I've been broadcasting a lot of interesting stuff. I went on today and deactivated my account. Tonight I received an email telling me that my account had been re-activated. So, after changing many passwords (FB, email and misc others) I deactivated the account again. Hope it sticks this time.

Anyone else had this happen?

Yes, I got my Yahoo account hacked and it was spamming everyone when I wasn't looking. I haven't had my FB hacked yet, but I reset all my passwords and made them a lot stronger (mix of upper and lower case letters and a few numbers in there for good measure). I've seen plenty of my friends accounts get hacked, though. One of the moms from my kids school was posting all sorts of porn for a bit there. It was funny because of who she is, and because it wasn't me.

I have not had account hacked except one of my credit cards got stolen somehow, but the CC company called me immediately after a purchase was made with it ,and all got sorted out very fast.
One of our members here had his Gmail acc hacked and was spamming me a lot, I let him know and he took care of the problem.

Hope you do not have to deal with that kind of trouble again.
