Hello gentlemen. I have been on a self-imposed hiatus, but have been enjoying the many pipes displayed. I have an issue. Leaky roof decided it was a great idea to drip onto my pipe collection all night. I have wiped them all dry, and most of the stems/bowls/and bits were dry except for a couple. I realize that briar absorbs moisture by nature, but how should I proceed? I will not smoke them for several days if not a couple of weeks to ensure proper drying. I checked the stems with a gentle wiggle, and everything seems a-ok on that front. One was loose, but was loose already. Should I take down any cake built up to avoid expansion and cracking when I pack them in the future - there is hardly any cake to begin with? Any advice? Thank you for your time.
