Sounds like it needs professional help. If you're so inclined, there is a place in the States that does good work (Fountain Pen Hospital - Celebrating 65 years as the world's showcase of fine writing instruments.). Good luck!
Mick, The bladder is actually new. You know that black rubbery looking thing under the nib? Sometimes it had grooves in it? That's the feed, whereby the ink travels to the nib. Mine is I think not fitting as tightly as it could in to the barrel of the pen. Maybe I could try and get a new feed?
Thanks for the tip about the hospital, Peter. I'd rather not send it so far a field. I could send it to where I got it from which is 'Old Post Office Pens' in Melbourne...

Well I finally have moved up past ink well dip pens into an actual fountain pen.

Had to get used to the flow rate. Have to have a fast light hand compared to a dip pen. I like it. It only took an hour and I was adjusted.
In France, you learn to write with a fountain pen. God I missed my fountain pen when I couldn't find cartridges in the US. Anyways, it's back and there's no such thing as writing with a nib which travels so effortlessly on the paper.
I am planing on getting a new one soon. I will have a Meisterstück one day, but in the meantime, I was thinking to upgrade from my good old Parker, which has met with the floor a couple times in his long life, to a Lamy Safari. I heard it's the Proraso of the fountain pen, the amazing value which never disappoints.
Any users around?
Hey gents, who makes a good quality, fast drying blue ink? I'd prefer something a little brighter as opposed to a midnight blue.
I like Noodler's blue ink. They have several different ones, but the bullet proof blue is really great. Bright blue color and dries pretty fast.
