I use the fountain pen my Grandfather gave to me.
Still writes like a dream, In fact better then the new one I bought.

Definitely! I write most of the time with a Delta fountain pen. If I have to take really fast notes in a meeting then I prefer to use a Montegrappe rollerball.

It's really amazing how so many of us have things in common. Over on HomeBrewTalk there are huge threads on both wet shaving and fountain pens and I've noticed a lot of interest in both subjects here.
I just got a Lamy Safari on Amazon (fine point) and it arrived today. I really like the smoothness of it. Writes like a pen costing much more. It will be spending a lot of time in my pocket along with my mini moleskin.
I am beginning to suspect we're a big bunch of closet steampunks. hmmmmmm ::scratches chin::
Just reinked my pens for my job lol. One parker 51 in red ink, one in black and my cross in blue. All quink. Any recomendations on paper? Specifically notepad refils.. I'd love a leather notepad that can be refilled.

A new dip pen arrived tonight. It's a NOS Vintage Hunt Crow Quill Dip Pen with a Hunt No. 108 extra fine, extra flexible new old stock Crow Quill dip pen nib. Rather scratchy at the moment.
I might write 'It was a dark and stormy night' one hundred times to wear it in, especially as it is INDEED a dark and stormy night...

Thank you. My wife told me I was weird last night. I replied "How am I weird? Just because I'm sitting here on the lounge with a vintage dip pen writing 'it was a dark and stormy night' over and over on a page in a book on Picasso, how does that make me weird?"...Quote:
