Thanked: 1936Yep, I reload for everything I own for two reasons: price and dialing in accuracy for the rifles. It is as good for the soul as honing IMO...

I reload, no casting though. Finer things in life? No. Enjoy some of it. Finding a range to shoot at is getting way hard.

Thanked: 88445 LC with charcoal is a handful and HOOT TO SHOOT!! Amazing the difference between factory smokeless and full house BP loads.
The late Elmer Kieth wrote of the old cavalry men shooting at stuff 600 yds out with their old six guns and hitting what they shot at.
A. They knew their guns.
B. The cartridges were stoked with black powder.
I've reloaded on and off for close to 50 years. As I'm a city boy now, I don't shoot enough to justify it anymore. Still got most of the makin's for all my stuff.
I do miss being able to step out of my shop and shoot at something as far off as I could see without worrying what the neighbor three miles away thought. Nowadays, if I step out for smoke and break wind, somebody is bitching. Oh well, at least I don't have to drive 40 miles one way to get a beer. LOL
