Not sure about this relative to CCW, but I think the definition of who is a citizen of this country is much broader than it was in my younger days. Just as there are no 'illegal aliens', only 'undocumented workers.'

Sorry - to clarify, I had read that only a US Citizen could purchase and own firearms in the US. For instance, if I was residing in the US for 6 months of the year, I was under the impression I could not own, therefore not carry or apply even for a CCW permit. Sorry

Interesting,I was down to the DMV last week to renew my D.L,In and out in 30 mins as I had an appoinment.
Were hundreds of people in line to get D.Ls,I do not know what you call them Illegals,Undocumented? whatever.
Will they be able to CCWs?? also

Well this is Calif,the land of fruits and Nuts.In talking with my insurance agent the other day,these folks have to show proof of auto Insurance.
They get the License,than cancel the insurance a week later,the penalty for not having a valid proof of insurance card is only 50 bux.
win, win situation for them
