    Thanks guys. This was fun, especially because it was impossible to make it worse. The hard part is going to be waiting for the tung oil to cure. If I keep doing these, I.might have to get a buffing wheel set for my drill.

    Great save. My own PAD has made a reappearance after several years of remission. I see myself doing a few pipe restorations in the not too distant future.

    If only I knew you were so good I would have given you my old pipes instead of selling them off.

    Thanks, too bad I missed that boat. Honestly, this one must have been beginner's luck, because it was my first try. Hopefully I can continue to get such great results with other estate pipes I find.

    Actually, it looks _better_ than new. As I remember, Brigham Sportsman pipes were entry-level, low-end pipes.

    I can't wait to see what you do with something that was really good out of the factory! A Dunhill, Peterson, or one of the Italian makers.
