    Hey D

When I saw the post title, I figured you meant a Cuban tres, but I see you're talking about a blues style electric.

Can't help you there as I don't do them newfangled electrified geetars

    But they do look cool.

Funny you should reply as I was going to see if you wanted to build one with your outstanding inlay work on an old cigar box.

    Yeah, its a nice sound....

I know nothing of the electronics required, but I do know a few things about scale length and making a guitar neck. It would be a cool project.

I got one of those, a self buildt 4 string monster. I made it real simple, no frets and all acoustic.

I kinda went along the lines of the model of these guys, but I made a simplified mortise-and-tenon joint in stead of the through-the-body neck. I made the neck from a piece off my old bed

I play it bottleneck style, or lap style. I got several other guitars so I only use it for laughs, but the sound is quite nice. I was considering building a small battery powered amp and stick it into a maching cigar box that I had, just for fun. If I were to amplify it I would only use a simple piezo pickup, but I never got around to it.

It's for playing da blues, or 3 string boogie woogie, or what have you

Sure...what are you up to on the weekend?

Maybe we can invite a couple of the other usual suspects and make it a get together.
