Checked a project off my list today.
Finally done refinishing our dining room table. I would like to wet sand it with some ultra fine grit at some point but its good enough for my kids to smear their dinner on for now. I shoulda took some before shots, it was pretty bad. Basically a table I got for free about 10 years ago. It was honey colored previously, which matched our kitchen cabinets better, but my lady looooves red stained woods, so I went with that. I sanded the leaf at one point, to see if it would mess up the real wood laminate, and then didn't get around to doing anything with it so it got all grimy. Not bad for a junky old particleboard table with a beat up wood laminate eh? First time I've ever stained and poly'd anything, was kinda trial and error. It could have used more sanding between coats probably, to smooth out the wood grain printing in the poly, but I was worried about sanding through the stain (after having that actually start to happen in one spot).
