I do some illustrating. I'm a graphic artist for a living, at a marketing company. You'd be surprised how little opportunity there is to "draw" as a professional digital artist. At one point they had me illustrate a children's book for someone.
I've done some painting, I suck, but I like doing it. Works ok for our kid's bathrooms.
Doing a lot of wrapping paper's lately.

Thought maybe I'd put another out here. Absolute tons of work into this one. No I didn't trace or copy or anything but look and draw. Enjoy...

I try to do non-digital art when I can on my own time....but now that I'm a father of 6 and a home owner, I find myself using the time I'd normally do something artsy to do something handy around the house or something fatherly.
Made these yesterday. The idea is you pick a color scheme, upload your own photos and put in the name and your own message. They're about 6ft long and 19 inches wide, so the designs below are basically tiled 2 across for 6ft. They'll be available at Custom Wrapping Paper & Personalized Gift Wrap. Photo Wrapping Paper by GiftSkins.com (not sure if I'm allowed to say that on here) and while the personalized wrapping paper concept is cool, I personally think they cost too much. But then I'm a cheap bastard. lol

That's very similar to how I work when painting.
I love drawing myself. Unfortunately I do not get to do very much pure drawing as drawings generally don't sell as well. So they mostly end up being covered with paint. Also I'm not a huge fan of "graphite only" drawing, mostly because it has such a limited range of value. I'm a big fan of charcoal and white chalk on toned paper. (I've even experimented with making my own drawing paper.) I used to teach drawing in California before I moved to Oregon, now I just paint.
Here's a few recent Drawings, including last years self portrait. (obviously before discovering the straight razor).
Autoportrait 14" x13"
Study of a hand holding whetstone 14" x 18"
And here are two more recent paintings. I'm really into miniatures and Tromp l'oeil (paintings which look as if they are real) at the moment. I just sold the watch at a show in California. Something I'm quite please with

Thanked: 983All you blokes are downright inspiring. I never knew you lot would be such a talented bunch. And such a diverse range of artistic skills, even if the OP was just asking about pencil drawing, there is obviously a lot of skill and talent in other chosen art forms amongst our members as well.
