    Default A Shocking Confession

OK, yes, I did it. I left work early today and spent the afternoon with a beautiful young lady on my arm

There are indeed many fine things in life but spending time with the grandkids is the best in my book. I think being a grandpa is far easier than being a dad.

You are blessed to have children and even more blessed to have grand children, Glad your enjoying them... From what I'm told most grandparents say they wish they could have skipped the kids and went straight to the grand kids. Gee i wonder why?

Good for you Grand Dad! Shes beautiful!

I will skip work any day to hold my beloved Emily for even 10 minutes. You can neve get the time back and I dont want to leave this world thinking I should have held my daughter more, I should have told her she was beautiful more, I should have held her hand and kissed her more, I can not hug her enough and I am not ashamed lol I do it every chance I have!

One thing is certain, none of us will lay on our death bed wishing we had spent more time at work. As a younger man (a GI) my work and my life were one in the same. Now that I'm a bit older, work is a necessary evil but things like this are my life. There's miles of separation between the two. When it's time to work I'll give it 110% as I always have but it's equally important to stop and smell the roses. The memories I make for the people I love are my legacy and will live a long time after I'm gone. Work however, well, let's just say the day after I die or retire, they'll find someone else to do my job and my name will probably never be uttered there again.

I hope I live long enough to get where you are right now. My daughter is my largest source of stress. Her having a kid right now would be a major disaster. She can't take care of her own problems.

My son doesn't even have a girlfriend.

I've never liked other people's kids. I can't imagine enjoying a grand kid. It just seems so strange an idea. Having a kid walk up and call me "daddy" was also hard to get used to. Having kids was my wife's idea.

Don't get me wrong. I dearly love my kids or their problems wouldn't hurt so much.

This topic has gotten me tender hearted. I am gonna take 1.5 hours off from work to see my kids. 4, 6 and 9 years old. I still remember each one of them being born like it was yesterday. Love 'em to death and would die for them. See ya gents. I'm headed to the house!

    Yup,

we are just stupid enough to miss our family and kids life but smart enough to ignore this fact. I have 3.5 years old son and weekends are ALWAYS ours. Last time I watch him eating ice cream and understood that system made me to work, lose time for stupid thing and he will grow up very fast and I will miss it all... It made me almost cry. I need to change my life and stop saying " Son, I need to go to work, need to work..." and start saying and listening to his needs, even he is still small. LET`S SRP MAN OPEN AND START MOVEMENT! WE ARE NOT 45 MINUTES FATHERS (mean I see mine child 45 min before leaving work and 45 min before he goes to bed)-THIS IS MY OATH!!!
