Thanked: 6Henley Royal Regatta
Hey everyone! So some of you might know (not sure if I talk about it much here but it is a good bet I do!) that I am a pretty avid rower... well we just found out that our coach will be taking 10 of us to compete at the Henley Royal Regatta in a few weeks! This is an historic achievement for our still fledgling team, and I will be a part of the first ever men's quad to be competing at this regatta for our club. Our girls have competed in the past, and in 2006 they won their event at the Henley Women's Regatta! You can read more about it here! Conestoga Rowers to Compete in England - Tredyffrin-Easttown, PA Patch (thats me on the far left, with a fresh shave no doubt!)
Just to clarify I am NOT trying to solicit donations here (unless you so choose to be generous!) and believe it or not I have some shaving questions!
First off, is anyone in the area? I'll be there for 18 days, most likely with a lot of down time so I'll definitely be looking for things to do with the guys during our down time!
Anyone know of any shaving shops/classic barbers/etc in the Henley area? If I can't fly with a straight I might splurge and purchase one, then mail it back home to myself!
and speaking of, has anyone flown British Air with a straight? I haven't been able to find anything too clear about it, but I am thinking it might be ok if it is in checked luggage and not my carry on...
Thanks guys!

Way to go! So you're in the first or second row?
LOL Sorry couldn't help it. I'm no where near, just wanted to show some support.

Flying with a straight is not a problem as long as you put it in the checked luggage and not the carry on.
Good luck.
