He was indeed a brilliant author, this is the first I've heard of his passing. 91 is a good age, rip Ray...

Made me the semi-paranoid person I am today. Truly one of the greats and he will be missed.

    Sad news indeed.

A Graveyard for Lunatics was one of my favorites.

"The Homecoming" felt to me like a personal gift. Today I'll begin re-reading From the Dust Returned, of which "The Homecoming" became a chapter. And Bradbury will live on...

Fahrenheit 451 was the only book I was forced to read in high school that I actually enjoyed reading. And because of that book I enjoy reading to this day.

I'm quite late to the memorial, but Fahrenheit 451 was the first novella I attempted to read back in elementary school (6th grade during a childhood where I hated reading). The same copy still stares at me from my now packed bookshelf, and, while I cannot say for sure, I give Mr. Bradbury due credit as one of my childhood influences who helped guide me into my literary profession. It hasn't been a good year for great authors. Maurice Sendak and now Bradbury. At least their influences will live on for many, many years to come.
