Thread: wool blanket question

    if you MUST wash it, machine wash it on the woolens cycle in COLD water then dry it flat (or as close as you can get to flat) assuming the fibre is strong enough to withstand the wash that should definitely take care of the odour.
    It's most likely mildew.
    Try a good quality wool wash, high in eucalyptus oil, that should just about see you right.

    I think this is the best way to wash your wool blankets.
    I wash my wool shirts and blankets this way.

    Well, another day on the line, smell almost gone, and my wife says, "those blankets always smelled weird, as long as Nan had them at least" Right. so there we are, problem solved. Into the swag it will go then!
