This maybe a topic for a whole entire different thread. But I would be keen to come to the states if the government wasn't so corrupt and in the verge of breakdown worth martial law etc lol

What was the blade related homicide rate in Japan then multiply by 3 (to account for the difference in population). In Japan most firearms were confiscated after WWII by the allies, being caught with them often meant being killed. Because of this most violence in Japan takes place with either a blade or a club of some sort. Granted even with this Japan is traditionally a very safe country.
two carry, one nightstand for your review.

More 1911's, please!
Here are my 1911's & P938 (a LOT like a 1911, just smaller). Two bottom guys are my primary carry weapons. That super carry pro on the bottom right feels "just right" in the hand.

Where are you getting your news? EVERYTHING IS WONDERFUL HERE IN THE GOOD OL' US of A! We're all one big, happy (if somewhat dysfunctional) family!

How many of those 12,000 were gang related? Is it better to have a gun related homicide or a knife related homicide?
Japan also had zero theft related crimes after the tsunami, while New Orleans, the east coast, pick your disaster in the US, continue to see looting after every disaster.
Is it really the guns or is it the lack of ethics?
Meanwhile, Mexico, which has very strict gun control laws, had over 50,000 gun related homicides last year. Go figure.
Check the murder rates in Chicago and DC, both of which pretty much ban personal firearm ownership. ;)
Gentlemen, as per the SRP rules, let's confine our discussion of 'gun control' to sight alignment and trigger control ........ :D ........ :gwh:

Here are a few of my arsenal (Sig Sauer P229 [9mm] and Ruger SR 1911 CMD not in picture). The Beretta Nano probably sees the most use, S&W 442 is a close second, but the recently acquired P229 might take over that slot sooner than later.
Can't go wrong w/a V-bob.

Bottom to top:
V-bob BDF, ivory shoes
Aforementioned Valor bobbed
Valor, S&A slim line magwell, Osprey 45, burl grips by sarge.
...and don't be a jerk, squeeze....
So the wife took an all women's hand gun shooting class, put on by the NRA. And she comes home all smiles and had a very fun time shooting the .22 hand guns. I asked..what kind of handguns did you shoot ? She said, a Sig Sauer, a Browning , and an S&W Model 18-4 . she told me she hit everything with that S&W. So I join a S&W forum to get the skinny on this gun.All the comments were that my wife had "good taste ". Now I know why...you can't touch those guns for under 650.00 used....But you know " Happy Wife..Happy Life"...it should be here by Tuesday...LOL...
Well all the rugers Ive ever shot didnt have a single bit of plastic. Dunno which ones youve shot but they generally have more steel than any other gun manufactoerer thats modern. Try their stainless revolvers or their beautiful 1911s and they have everything not 9 mil. .45 ACP is ana amazing round.

My Milspec, after a little work.

Apples to apples.
Brown own the patent on the Bobtail. The others get around the patent by naming theirs "fastback" or "rounded mainspring housing" or "rounded butt".
Brown sell the bobtail msh thru brownells, midway etc, and a jig is available to cut your existing frame, if you wish. Aftermarket grips are available for the bobtail, not sure about the others.
I have a thing for 1911's as well! Whole family does. Dad has a Springfield GI I tuned up and my Les baer Hard Chrome full size Custom Carry, Mom has a Les Baer Commanche in .45, DW CBOB in .45 and DW Eco in 9mm. I have a DW Valor and VBOB in Stainless, .45 and an ECO 9mm. I also built up a Capsian Recon full size as well.

i carry concealed every day, no matter what...i live in Massachusetts which is very strict with the firearms laws, when you apply for your Class A Large Capacity License To Carry Firearms (LTC) the Police chief in your city/town can decide to either allow you to carry concealed which is known as (No Restrictions) or he can decide to put restrictions on your License To Carry known as (Target & Hunting) which basically makes your "License To Carry" not actually a license to carry hahahaha
haha, its pretty convoluted, however I am fortunate enough to have an unrestricted license to carry since i live in a small town about 20 miles inland of Boston, so my police chief has no problem with law abiding citizens, who have had a background check carrying a concealed firearm since we've proven that were not a threat...
anyway back to show and tell haha...my Every Day Carry is a 9mm Gen 4 Glock 26...a nice compact firearm which i carry using a VERY comfortable Inside the Waistband holster...it's basically like a Crossbreed SuperTuck.....leather against your skin, and a custom molded Kydex holster mounted to it...Attachment 173014

i also own a S&W M&P 40 with a custom Apex trigger installed, it was actually the "Range & Carry kit"

Here are the aforementioned Sig Sauer P229 and Ruger SR1911 I didn't post earlier

SR1911...perfect right out of the box. Shown here with a Sam Andrews (excellent North Florida leather crafter) Custom McDaniels II holster.
P229 has Tulipwood grips and a Milt Sparks Summer Special II holster (fun fact..the Tulip tree is the State Tree of Tennessee, my 2nd home).
try those finger extensions for the bottom of the magazine if you havnt already !! makes that G26 so much nicer !! ..lol...
I had to get rid of a G19 so I carry the G26 also .. those 2 have been my favorite carry guns !! I didn't realize how much I missed the 19 till shooting the full frame G22 yesterday !! I might have to come across another 19 or a 17 here soon ..lol..
since we got into buckshot a couple pages ago , I patterned 2 loads and some slugs ..
slugs = Fiocchi low recoil 7/8 ounce
#00= Fiocchi low recoil
Federal low recoil
out of a Mossberg 590A1 with ghost ring sights , smooth bore "20 barrel .
first pic is 6 slugs at 50yds ( low but made the adjustments ..
http://i658.photobucket.com/albums/u...s/IMAG2916.jpg
15yrds
this picture is same target at 15yrds , 2 more slugs after elevation raise , and 3 or 4 Fiocchi #00 buck ...not bad for not being top of the line buckshot .. I could settle for that in home knowing if I properly aim all pellets will be on target ..
http://i658.photobucket.com/albums/u...s/IMAG2917.jpg
final target is 2 more slugs 1 fed with flight controlled wad , and 1 Fiocchi .. not that im a pro but I did shoot to the right on the rio to try to gauge the pattern , and although 15yrds I wanted to see about what would work best in my home and the distances in it .. I need to do this again with more rounds but since I was there for my boy I didn't want to shoot on his time ..lol
but you can see out of this gun that the flight controlled wads in the fed rounds did hold a tighter pattern , $10 for 5 VS $8.99 for 10 Fiocchi at the local store though .. so practice with one and keep the other on stand by ..
http://i658.photobucket.com/albums/u...5c42f9ca10.jpg
correction !! Fiocchi slugs & buckshot .. not rio ..
