ok so i just finished my long awaited home defense firearm ..
Mossberg 590A1 heavy barrel ,9shot , ghost ring rear , fiber optic front sight , 12gauge..
just added a Magpul stock ( ugliest , most comfortable stock ive ever owned ) that cheek pieces can be added, as well as spacers for length of pull adjustment , also has a Magpul forend with a 11 slot rail ( added) to the bottom where i then attached a angled grip , a 4 slot rail on the side where my light mounts , a tacstar 4 shell side saddle and yes it has a bayonet lug !!!

#4buck(24 pellets) 23/4" varmint express with the flight controlled wads ( until i find a #1 low recoil buckshot)
followed by federal #00(9 pellets) low recoil with the flight control wad .. on the side as a last resort
i also just picked up some 7/8oz fiochi low recoil slugs to pattern along with a handful of others slug brands that i havent shot yet .. but if i have to use the slugs it better be on a deer cause if not either im in a world of hurt or there really is a zombie attack ..lol
but i have grown to really like the low recoil/velocity loads lately
i like the #4 cause i know it is effective on coyotes with the right choke but also cause if i have to use it the burglar/attacker isnt gonna strike again and im not as concerned with hitting someone else in the house across the street like if i was using a slug and those wads in these rounds holds a tighter pattern so upto 15-18yards im getting all pellets on target almost every time .. even the #00 i know from seeing test will have a good amount of penetration if there is a stray pellet off target

I recently removed my 00 Buck & replaced it with Hornady 00 Buck, stepping out at 1600,,,I like the extra energy & there are good reviews on the grouping.
