I bought a stainless mini-14 side folder from a friend. It is a 1980s model with the pre-ban flash suppressor and wood/stainless factory folding stock. The rear sling swivel was missing. I called Ruger and they asked the serial # of the rifle. Got my address and sent a swivel free of charge. The swivel came but is was for a wood butt stock. Not the same as the stainless side folder. I called them back. They looked it up and sent the correct swivel free of charge. Told me to just keep the first one. They are first class indeed.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I've owned, and continue to own, a number of Rugers over the years. They are the best "bang for the buck" out there IMO.

I always get a Ruger if I can afford it. Top notch. Got me a 12 guage all-weather before the kids were born. Love the thing.
Only all-stainless shotgun produced. Not made anymore, I understand. Only pic I have right now!

This is my son's Ruger Bearcat 22 caliber, his first handgun, he got it for his 6th birthday. A solid, fine shooting revolver.

I know. The plastic furniture is a bit Meh. I am tying to find a maker of laminate stock/forearm for it. Some black/white/silver would be sweet! Here is member Sirtexan with it at our last meet!

Thanks for the links, Glen! My only reservation has always been additional weight. Thoughts?
