This is serious stuff the F word is not one you want to hear (Felony). But I can't help thinking a bolo round might be appropriate for an action movie. The creative good guy hand loads some bolo rounds for his Vepr-12 shotgun. Bad guy gets the nasty end of the business and finds himself with a lot of weird slices on his body. Just before he croaks he says, 'hey, those are illegal.'

If you are rolling your own, you can easily make a frangible 12 ga round, by removing half the shot from a No. 8 round and mixing it with dental plaster. Upon impact most of the energy will transfer to the intervening object and stop. Use a high base shell.

They are great for shooting off door locks and hinges without excessively penetration of doors and walls. You can buy them, also.

Or, load the first round with bird shot, the second, No. 4, third OO buck and last a slug.
