    The older , traditional shaped , Comoy Specimen Straight Grain was the top of the line in their line for a time. Originally, way back, the Prima was the top of the line, then the Deluxe and still later the Royal. The Specimen Straight Grain became the top in the 1930s or maybe the '50s. The next step down, and no slouch was the Blue Riband.

    Your pipe comes from the 1970s or '80s IMHO. The Danes, Preban Holme, Sixten Ivarrson and a few others had a big influence on the pipe world with their Danish freehand shapes. Savinelli copied that with their popular 'Autograph' freehand series. Even Dunhill brought out some with the 'Collector' logo in the late '70s.

    We don't do appraisals or evaluations on this forum if that is what you're looking for. I would suggest you look for a tobacco pipe forum or ebay completed items for value. Nice pipe. Enjoy it.
