Default Shaving stands/locations (not the bathroom)?

A lot of guys probably just shave at the sink...and it makes sense, really.

However, way back, it was considered a finer thing to have a decent shave stand in one's home.

Recently, I have ventured away from the sink as I have seen some of you all do. I have seen amazing photographs of outdoor shaves and such.

I just got this shave stand, and will likely be shaving away from running water sources more in the future.

I would love to see your shared images of shave stands. Everything from a mirror proper on a tree branch in the woods, to an ornate antique shave stand.

Here is my humble first entry.

I love this idea. A few months ago i went to a junk shop on holiday and saw a great washbowl and pitcher. That was before i started shaving with a SR... Since i started ive thought about going back to get them... csnt say im going to travel 300+ miles though so it will have to wait until next year when we go back.

I love old Victorian shaving stands. Not the table-top type, but the full on floor models like yours. I've seen some beautiful examples, in many different styles, but never could justify the cost. Some of the best specimens go for well over a grand. I believe that they were common at hotels where running water inside the room was probably uncommon at the time.

Mine looks nice, but it is not as well made as it looks. She bought it for me at an estate sale and paid almost nothing for it.

I want a travel stand to take outside with me on nice mornings.
