Ipad Mini?
Anyone else here have one? I got mine in last week and so far, I love it. The size is, I think, the size the original ipad should have been to start with. One hand holdable. The previous full size ipad was hard to hold and prone to being dropped. The display is not retinal but plenty clear and bright owing to having the same number of pixels in a smaller size. All my old ipad apps are usable with no black bars because the mini has the same aspect ratio. SIRI is clever and sophisticated, by far the best voice recognition softwear I've ever used, but still just a novelty for me. The speaker system is much improved and is actually usable as a close quarters internet radio.

Thanked: 1263I picked one up for SWMBO a few weeks ago. So far she really likes it I've used it a bit and find it really easy to use, the display is great, sound from it is ok.
We didn't have one of the previous, full size iPads so I can't compare there, but I've had an iphone for years and it ranks right along with it and my Mac Book for ease of use.

Thanked: 247I would like to play with one, but I am pretty sure it is not a good fit for me or her...the iPhone is pocket-able, and when I want larger I go straight to the laptop, and she goes straight to the iPad. Like you hint at, typing on either device is a non issue with the voice recognition...I use the heck out of that!
Its great that there are basically 3 sizes, because one size does not fit all
FWIW, I said this same sort of thing when the iPad came out...(I do not need an in between size) and so far I still feel that way, but my wife sure doesn't

I have had one for a week now, and must say it is a nifty product.
I have used the larger iPad at work for a couple years now, and do enjoy the new smaller product for ease of carry.
The larger one still sees a fair bit of use as well.Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

I picked one up on release date and I like it better then my big iPad, one hand grip is perfect, holding it with one hand is less fatiguing than the big one. Easier to transport.
Cant think of any downsides apart from having to change all my charging docks to Lightning ones. Picked up a dock on eBay for £10 that does Mini iPad and iPhone 5.
Now if only the kids would let me use it!
