    Default Friends

Certainly they are one of the finest things in life!

Tonight my friend, lets call him Jim, [His real name.] made my day. At the end of our archery league I walked by as his team was adding up their score. On Thursdays he is the enemy. On Wednesdays he is my team mate. He said, "Tim, let me use your glasses so I can read this." I trust him enough not to ask to use them if he has Pink Eye or something similar so with out hesitation I handed them over. After a few minutes he returns and says, "read this" while holding the paper about 1 foot from my face. I said, "How in the heck am I suppose to read that dang thing when you are wearing my glasses?" [That was a paraphrase!]

Sometimes I might wonder why, but friends are one of the finest things in life.

    Tim

Friends I have in plenty. Now Mates! True Mates I have a very limited quantity of, and they are highly cherished regardless of how far off the wall or over the edge they are, I know I can rely on them and they on me!

P.S Pixel, I wouldn't wish the loss of a true mate on my worst enemy. It's a sad thing, and I feel for you. I've experienced it myself.

Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none. William Shakespeare. All's Well That Ends Well.

I expect that many of us count our true friends on the fingers of one hand.

I can totally agree with Welsh, I can count my true friends or, as Mick calls them- mates-, on 1 hand. Wouldn't mind making a few more here though, people who have the same values and likes as I do!
