It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Thanked: 33That is really very funny. I have never tried their product so I can't say anything positive or negative, but that is a very funny ad.

Thanked: 177If carts weren't so lousy and expensive, I think I'd still be using one. I hated whenever a new blade came out, their old blades that used to cut and last a little instantly sucked and were good for 1good shave. The dollar shave club is a good idea, but I'm glad I use straights. I haven't used a cart in almost 8years.,not missing it. And a cart is still better than an electric. I really didn't like them at all.

We all have different beards. What works for one may not work for anyone else.
I started with a Norelco electric because that is what my Dad used and got me.
One day I came back from three weeks in the Nevada desert and my Wife said she liked
me fuzzy much better than clean burnt oatmeal from the pan scratchy. I wore whiskers
for decades. I used a straight to tidy up my neck from time to time....
All good things come to an end and some start... My new gal did not like my mountain man
look. One day I cut my whiskers on a lark and rediscovered all over how painful shaving had been.
I tried this and that and found that a single blade razor and a good shave soap was the winner.
Single blade... BiC Yellow handle, DE, open razor/ straight, some better than others. Remember
I had by now three str8 razors... and one coticle to keep them shaving.
Some were too sharp some not sharp enough some just right... but LATHERIN was always key.
I am still looking to improve...

Thanked: 177Everybody is different that's for sure. I think the majority of shavers can tolerate the carts, that's why they use them. Then theres the rest of us! I would still use a cart before electric though. YMMV as always.

Thanked: 247I watched a couple of video reviews on their razors. Most said they were reasonably good.
I enjoy what I'm doing, but I also enjoy their concept and marketing.

While I shave my face daily with my straight razors, I am leery to shave my head with one. I discovered Dollar Shave Club about 6 months ago, and joined for razors for my head. For $1 USD every months, I receive 5 double bladed cartridges ( they send you a handle with the first order). While inexpensive, they work well for two or three shaves of my head. I would never shave my face with them, but they do the job I intended them for.
