Well I've just finished my new razor, apart from honing. I more or less set the bevel before I did my final polishing to make sure the bevel width was nice and straight and it felt great on the hone, the steel took some honing so I know the blade is plenty hard but it is honeable. My next razor I think I will up the temp ever so slightly in the oven to soften it a little more. I wanted to use horn for the scales but I was out so black acrylic will have to do for now. Il rescale when my horn arrives. I finished it in polished stacked brass washers and pins. I'm really pleased with the results, for a long time I've been admiring people's work on here making there own blades and to finally take the plunge and try it for myself is great. As you can tell I'm a huge fan of old Sheffield wedges and modelled this razor on the same sort of blade and scales style. I like it and I can't wait to shave with it.
