    Little update...

    After some grinding we have almost final look.


    I put some fireresistant silicone to get hamon - I hope that will work with K510


    Inside gas burner on 825 °C


    Hardening...

    Now she is around 65 HRC now!

    Looking good so far. Sounds like that one is going to be fun to hone. I wonder if it being so hard would make it prone to chipping more after continued use in between touch ups.

    I will temper her on 59-60 HRC.
    65 HRC is way too much and too hard for hone.

    Do what davorvfr did and I have done in the past. I built mind from cinder blocks and bricks using charcoal and a leaf blower.
