Thanked: 5well, i use my 4 by 36 belt sander for everything. Rough and finish grinding . I wont say it's the best by any stretch , but it will work. Once you heat treat and start going up into higher grit belts you really, i mean really need to be careful. Chipping a blade is easy . "I found that out" . So, still all i have for now. And getting ready to try to make a 2 by 27 belt grinder . best wishes
