Finally getting going again!
I have reworked some stuff in the garage, and am just waiting for a few last parts for my air hammer.
Meantime, I got my first bar of W2 and forged the first razor.
This will be my first try at a hamon and my first use of the post vise and post anvil!

That's a Grizzly. Not awesome but it works. I think that's the 36 grit zirconia belt. Maybe 60 grit.
That and a hand file and some 400 grit wet/dry is all I've used on this one so far. Once it's shaped I'll try the clay and fire yaki-ire (to make the hamon).

I had the chance to bring my gear on a weekend getaway with some friends and let them each make some beer openers etc. Awesome weekend.
