Welp... Live and learn. Working on my first batch of razors , got my 4' contact wheel yesterday and was finishing the grinds on this one. I went too far it seems, was progressing nicely until I noticed these two little dimples. Then realized I can see daylight through them. It seems I went too far with the 50g while working on hollowing out the blade.

I was bringing the 4' radius up to meet the initial grind done on an 8" wheel. All was going well, but definitely noticed I was getting thin on my edge, could really hear it sing on the wheel. I knew it was thin but didn't realize I went too far until it was too late.

Bluesman7 has a very unique way of doing hollow grinds.

yep, she's thin, and very flexible lol

I will take another swing in the morning, and ease up on the 4" a little bit. I think I was too thin on my edge to begin with, should have let this one be right off the 8" wheel and finished it out.

First time on the 4" wheel , I was surprised how quickly that secondary grind went.

Oh yeah, I imagine this won't be the last to land in the box.

Make 100 and screw up 58 of them and you will start to get it down!
