good looking razor!
the way I etch my mark on Damascus and a blade ill be etching to bring out a hardening line is that I sand it down to whatever base finish I am doing, then etch my mark, then clean up sanding, and then etch for the pattern. I do dc {cut} etching only as I like a subdued mark, and it shows up nice after the etch to bring the pattern out.

Thanked: 49My makers mark is an oval "shield" with writing inside, so I etch, then mask the entire marks ith nail polish and etch the rest of the blade. the mark "shield' stays shiny silver.
