2/3 of an Anvil
So this afternoon I got a text from my son-in-law.
Are you home? - Yup.
I'm coming over. - Ok.
Another text - can you come outside? - Yup
No one is there and he comes up the road in a company truck and backs in.
Hey, they were going to throw this away at work...want it?
Well, I guess 2/3 of an anvil on a nice beefy stand is better than nothing.
Man, this thing is heavy.
A nice surprise though.

Cool, Pete-Now it's time to polish that flat. Who was it on here basically took an anvil to a mirror polish? (Mike or Tom, I'm guessing).
There are many roads to sharp.

Trouble is is if I remember right now you need all the associated things to go with it!

Exactly. Let's see...forge, grinder, welder + rewire garage, drill press, band saw, tongs, hammers etc. etc.
Obviously I'm taking donations.
Let's just say that it's a small step in the right direction.
Mike (Outback) has polished small pieces of RR track for peening anvils. Polishing this would be of epic proportions.

Maybe it is the seed you need to get started.

Looking at the edges and corners, it looks nearly unused.
It's a steal at the price you paid!I may not be as old as dirt, but I do remember when the Dead Sea first begin to feel ill!
