Thanked: 995For slack belts, what Randy said. Using the 1.25 inch square bar you could conceivably make any sort of attachment "out front" where you wanted a specific job.

Great plans, looks like I have one more project to add to the list for this summer.

I have a question...
The parts list says to get a 1/4" x 18" x 18" Cold roll steel plate.
The instruction then say 1/4" x 12" x 20".
I already had the 18x18 plate cut.....
Will this still work?
I sure hope so...Last edited by Chevhead; 02-13-2016 at 11:25 PM. Reason: additional text

Here is my answer
Okay since I didn't get an answer I went OLD SCHOOL (or should I say Elementary School) and made a cardboard mock up.
Looks like the 18"x18" will work fine....

ChevHead, well done!
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

When I fist scrolled the page down I thought it was a design for some kind of space ship that would be used in Star Wars or something.
Now that I actually looked at it closely...... Pretty wicked design!
Good luck on making it...... Show pics of the finished grinder too.
Is it over there or over yonder?
