If you mean a blade of pure tungsten it would be way too hard. You would find honing it to be a rather unpleasant experience.

Thanked: 182perhaps the best thing that a high speed steel in a razor might be good for is
you could boil the hell out of it after every use and not harm the steel
it would for the most part also be more rust resistant (not stainless persay)
in the right amounts i think some alloy might be good but noting like some of the knife steels out there in use today
i have some M2 and cpmM4 that i could try as testers
cpm3v seem to be ok least in my limited tests im not sure if i have cpmD2 in house anymore but might give that a shot as it should be better then plain D2
perhaps i need to make the frame back tester i wanted to make a while back

i would just recommend the tape covered spine fro honing
i have to get in the shop and see what steel i have in 1/8 bar
