The burner will run from about 2-3 to 30 psi. I cast a taper/flare into the insulation when I put in the satinite. It runs nice and quite now.

I have not decided what pressure works best for forging. It works well around 5 with the needle valve open or around 20 with the needle valve just barely open.

I added a longer rest coming out of the front shelf. I also made a wall/plug (out of soft firebrick) that fits in the chamber so that I can reduce its volume.

The new forge sure makes it easier to heat treat than the old one brick forge. The one brick forge had a hot spot that you had to move the blade in front of to get an even heat. The new forge you just stick it in with the forge idling and the blade slowly comes up to temp.
